Disaro

We've both become enamored with Houston based record label, Disaro, who never fail to put out albums that manage to send us into creepy, cosmic, space trances. Definitely recommend perusing their myspace to discover some of the amazing bands associated with the label. It's hard to pick just one...today I've been listening to the Hype Williams tracks on repeat. Super creepy/slowed down goodness. LISTEN. DO IT.

We also saw the awesomely bad Japanese cult horror/fantasy film, House last night....heres one of the more memorable clips. Couldn't help but think so many scenes in the films would make really dope music videos.... The music for the film was all done by Japanese band Godeigo. It was totally upbeat - which was kind of off-putting considering it was a horror film, but it seemed to fit perfectly with the complete absurdity of the film.

We could not be more excited to see White Ring, yet again, at Santos on June 1. they sent shockwaves trough our spines when at the NY Eye and Ear Fest, from Pendu Org Arts & Actions , and we want to hear their mysticalheavybeatviolentmagic again... and you can listen too... either go to their myspace or listen to select tracks below.

will also be preforming with White Ring..... owww this is sure to be a solid mind-melting-bursting-growing show... honest! There isn't much live footage of them out there, but we did manage to capture one of our favorite songs, 'Roses' in the last hour of our 10 hour marathon at the Knitting Factory. This video doesn't even do the performance justice. The lights were practically giving us epilepsy - in a good way!! Enjoy...

We had the pleasure of seeing Konnichiwa at the NY Eye and Ear Fest and they were magic to our eyes and ear for sure. Fingers crossed they will have some more shows coming up. Getting lost in their music again would definitely be a major summer treat.
